In the same way regular fillings may need to be replaced with time a Root canal filling can also be redone. Although we can achieve a very high success rate with the original root canal treatment there are still many instances where we may need to repeat a root canal treatment throughout a tooth’s life.

The aim of this is again to retain your natural tooth symptom free and avoid an extraction

Micro-Surgery

If we are unable to redo the previous root filling by the conventional approach we sometimes need to provide a surgical approach.

This is often very useful when treating teeth that have extensive crown and bridge work that we may not want to remove to provide treatment
