Our Referral Policies

I aim to aid you and your patient in providing treatment that may fall outside of a general practitioners remit.

Patients will be seen for a consultation and all treatment options discussed (including risks and benefits) prior to commencing any treatment.

If the patient then chooses to proceed:

Only treatment that the patient has been referred for will be undertaken without further communication with referring dentist

Following completion of the root treatment an appropriate core will be placed. However if you wish to do this yourself, the tooth will be suitably temporised and the patient advised on the time frame to return to the referring dentist

Cuspal coverage restoration can be provided at the dentists request

If any significant changes to the proposed treatment is encountered the referring dentist will be contacted before continuing where appropriate

A full written report will be sent to the referring practitioner following completion of treatment. This can include copies of digital radiographs and photos if required
